The short version: this site sets no cookies. What follows explains what does happen, so that the statement can be checked rather than trusted.

None. There is no analytics package, no advertising network, no tag manager, no social widget and no embedded third-party player anywhere on these pages.

Cloudflare

The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which serves the pages from a location near you and filters malicious traffic. Cloudflare may add a small performance measurement script of its own to responses; it reports page timings and sets no cookie in doing so. If Cloudflare ever needs to challenge a suspicious request, it may set a strictly necessary security cookie at that moment; that is a security function of the network, not a measurement by us.

The one key we write

When you answer the storage notice, your choice is written to local storage in your browser under a single key named jr_cookie_verdict. It holds one word, it is readable only by this site, it is never sent anywhere, and its only effect is that the notice does not reappear. Choosing to decline stores the refusal in the same way; nothing is switched on either way, because there is nothing to switch on.

Clearing it

• Chrome on desktop: Settings, Privacy and security, Third-party cookies, See all site data and permissions
• Safari on iOS: Settings, Safari, Advanced, Website Data, then remove this site
• Firefox: Settings, Privacy & Security, Cookies and Site Data, Manage Data

Removing the key brings the notice back on your next visit, which is the only thing that changes.
